Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The qnx4 file system implementation fails to properly handle
set blocksize failures. This occurs because qnx4 utilizes buffer heads, which do not effectively manage block sizes that exceed the PAGE SIZE (the smallest unit of memory managed by the kernel). Consequently, attempting to mount the file system triggers a BUG ON assertion in the folio set bh function during the initial bread gfp() call when the offset is greater than or equal to the folio size.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
