Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The bfs filesystem fails to properly handle set blocksize failures. Because bfs utilizes buffer heads, it cannot effectively manage block sizes that exceed the PAGE SIZE. This issue leads to a system crash during the mounting process, specifically triggering a BUG ON(offset >= folio size(folio)) condition within the folio set bh() function during the initial bread gfp() call.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
