Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
drm/amdkfd component where the allocate doorbell function fails to perform bounds checking on the doorbell ID. This occurs when the doorbell ID is set to a specific value, a feature utilized by CRIU (Checkpoint/Restore In Userspace), which allows a process to be saved and restored later. The system must verify that this value is less than KFD MAX NUM OF QUEUES PER PROCESS to prevent potential memory or stability issues.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
