Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A use-after-free and resource leak risk exists in the
lenovo se10 wdt watchdog driver. The issue occurs when the se10 pdev variable is not properly nullified, potentially allowing the system to access memory after it has been freed. Additionally, the use of a DMI callback instead of a direct call to the se10 create platform device() function can lead to resource leaks and improper error handling.Recommendations
Update the Linux kernel to a version where the
se10 pdev is set to null and the DMI callback is replaced by a direct call to se10 create platform device(). Found an issue in the description? Have something to add? Feel free to write us 👾
