Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the XFS file system where the
rtrmap maxlevels ondisk() and rtrefcount maxlevels ondisk() functions fail to account for the inode root when computing the size of in-memory btree cursors. In scenarios involving a sufficiently large btree, this can lead to memory access beyond the end of the cursor.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
