Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the s390 crypto subsystem where the hardware may persistently return an
-EBUSY error after exhausting retries. This error propagates to the crypto finalize * request() function. Because the crypto API completion wrapper interprets -EBUSY as a queueing status, it swallows the error, which prevents the completion callback from firing. Consequently, callers utilizing the crypto wait req() function may block indefinitely.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
