Description An issue exists in the drm/xe component where the emit render cache flush() function fails to request a flush of the LSC untyped L1 data cache. While the function sets PIPE CONTROL0 HDC PIPELINE FLUSH to clear the L2/HDC data cache, it does not utilize the Untyped Data-Port Cache Flush Enable bit in PIPE CONTROL DWord0[11]. On newer platforms such as BMG and MTL, the expected coupling between the HDC Pipeline Flush and the untyped L1 cache flush is absent. This gap can lead to user-visible data corruption in applications and poses a security risk, as stale data may leak through the untyped L1 dataport cache after memory has been reclaimed or evicted.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
