Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the iSCSI target of the SCSI subsystem where a LUN RESET (a command used to reset a Logical Unit) that aborts a WRITE command in the TRANSPORT WRITE PENDING state can cause a system hang. When the initiator sends the remaining dataout PDUs (Protocol Data Units), the function iscsit check dataout hdr() processes the payload but fails to trigger the completion process for the aborted command. This results in the abort path hanging indefinitely within target put cmd and wait(), leading to a deadlocked target worker thread.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
