Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
net/mlx5e component where the representor vnic devlink health reporter is created and destroyed during the representor netdev (un)load path. This process is not serialized by the devlink instance lock, which can trigger a devl assert locked() splat during driver unbind. The problem occurs because the reporter's lifecycle is not properly synchronized with the required locks.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
