Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
nvme-rdma module where the queue rq() function handles -EIO errors in the wrong order. When a host path error is reported, the system continues to clean up the command and unmap the SQE DMA (Submission Queue Entry Direct Memory Access) after the request has already been completed by the path error helper. This results in a double cleanup and an invalid DMA unmap operation.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
