Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the ACPI platform implementation where the use of the
acpi get first physical node() function within acpi platform fill resource() and acpi create platform device() is unsafe. This is because the device returned by this function could theoretically be freed at any time. Additionally, the implementation is inefficient due to multiple redundant calls to acpi get first physical node() for the same argument.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
