Description An issue exists in the rtl8723bs staging driver where padapter->HalData is allocated using vzalloc() but incorrectly released using kfree() within the rtw sdio if1 init() error path. Using kfree() to release a vmalloc-backed buffer can result in memory corruption. Memory corruption occurs when a program accidentally modifies memory locations it should not access, potentially leading to system instability or crashes.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
